Essentially a bad experience

Ordered an item to be shipped to Portugal. Item got stuck in Customs where paperwork needed to be filled and additional taxes had to be paid. I contacted the vendor in order to solve the issue and they have done nothing about it. Please notice the vendor has never informed me throughout the purchase period about any need for additional taxes or paperwork to be filled at the Customs.
